At 10:00Am, seven members of the Moose ATV Club
participated in this years first garbage clean up. Members met at the
start of the Johnston Creek Rd south of Taylor, and helped make the road
into one of our favourite trails a nicer drive. Several residents
stopped to express their appreciation at the efforts. The Moose ATV Club
would like to thank Cat Rentals for use of road signs, as well as United
Rentals (We had lots of signs. Next year we arrange only 1 person to get
signs). Combat Cleaning for the garbage bags they donated, First Choice
Towing for hauling the 7 wrecked cars out of the bush for us, and Dave,
the local resident of Johnston Creek Rd, who used his Cat Skiddder
to move the wrecks closer for the Tow Truck. The PRRD was kind enough to
donate (waive) the dumping fees for us. In all, 10.2 kilometres of road
was cleaned on both sides of the ditch line (20.4km total) and 300
pounds of garbage was removed. Special thanks to those who participated!

A few of the old cars and garbage hauled away from the
trail clean-up. Thanks to First Choice Towing for the great help!!
